In order to enhance the production and quality capacity of munitions produced by military supply companies, various quality certification systems for the defense are operated.
The certification system for defense quality management is a system that is executed for an efficient implementation of the QA activities of the government. When a munitions company applies for certification to the DTaQ, we inspect the operation and maintenance of the defense quality management system of the company. When they fulfill all the requirements, we grant them certificate.
The base documents for the certification of the defense quality management system is KDS 0050-9000-3 (requirement for the defense quality management system), which is based on the ISO 9001 and added the specific requirements from the military. The overview of requirements is as below:
