Scientific research and analysis of national defense science and technology proposes the future direction of national defense research and development.
Definition (Concept)
The analysis provides baseline data for national defense research and development by systematically classifying the technologies for developing future state-of-the-art weapons systems and by analyzing weapons systems, technological development trends at home and abroad, technological levels, etc. The analysis classifies and analyzes the data based on the predictions of the future battlefield environment and development of science & technology.
Introduction of work
Major domestic technology development projects will determine the current status and levels of domestic technology. The project selects required future weapons systems depending on required military capability, whereupon a level survey is carried out and an acquisition method for critical (military) and required technologies is drawn up.
